Again this year, we are bringing you 2 separate shows playing on alternating nights. One show will play on even calendar days and the other show will play on odd calendar days. Several songs returned from last year and we've added some new ones too. We have included 2 of our favorites, Amazing Grace and the Hallelujah Chorus, in both shows and new this year, we've included a tribute to all military families who have lost love ones while on active duty or in civilian life. This tribute is, Il Silenzio, composed by Tchaikovsky. Visit the Behind the Show for the complete track lists.
Tune in to 100.3 FM to hear the songs that the lights are synchronized to. See the light shows live, starting on November 26, 2016 Hours:Sunday – Thursday5:30 - 10:00 PM | Friday & Saturday5:30 - 10:30 PM.
We are continuing the Christmas tradition of helping others by collecting donations to support a local cause. Thank you to all who contributed in the past years! The light show is played for a 5 week span over the holidays. In 2015, we donated $6,823 to Gracelyn Snyder as she was battling JMML, a rare form of Leukemia. In 2014, we were able to collect $6,252 which was donated to Deven Jackson for custom running blades after Meningitis led to the amputation of both his legs. The previous year we we donated $2,487 to Vaughn Schlachter during his battle with AML (a form of Leukemia). Before that we donated $1,774 to Hope Parente in her battle against brain cancer.

{new this year} This year our thoughts and efforts are directed towards the Family of Alan Bankert, of Newport, PA. Alan was a member of the PA National Guard, a driver for UPS, a loving husband, the father of 4 small children, and an active member of the Missionary Alliance Church in New Buffalo. Alan cherished being able to wear his fatigues and everything Army, he was born into a military family on Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland and enjoyed his weekends when he had Guard Duty.
On August 2, 2016, Alan left for work and was involved in a fatal vehicle accident on the PA Turnpike, leaving behind his wife Amy with their sons, Nick (7 years old) and Sam (5 years old), and their daughters, Chloe (3 years old) and Hanna (3 weeks old). This unfortunate accident resonated with Kevin Kolak, the light show conductor, as he too lost his father in a car accident when he was a young boy. Kevin was even contacted by a past recipient of the Kolak Light Show informing him of a worthy family in Newport for this year...but the Kolaks had already chosen a family, only to realize after some discussion that they both were talking about the Bankerts. On that note this year, all of the donations collected from the Kolak Christmas Light Show will be donated to the Bankert Family in hopes that it will help alleviate some of the burdens at this difficult time.
If you have enjoyed our light shows, please consider making a contribution towards this cause by placing your donation in the slotted box sitting on top of the lighted "Listen to the Lights" sign. Or, contributions can be mailed to 1976 Shermans Valley Road, Elliottsburg, PA 17024. Please make any checks payable to Kevin Kolak and put Bankert Family in the memo line.
Please keep The Bankert Family in your prayers this Holiday Season. **100% of the contributions will go to The Bankert Family** Donations made Week 1: $471.00 Donations made Week 2: $915.00 Donations made Week 3: $1,245.00 Donations made Week 4: $1,725.00 Donations made Week 5: $3,075.00 Additional Donations: $1,448.00
